Flexible, compatible polyester knit, coil wrapping and holding transformer construction, bundling and binding for electrical application.PEN is designed to offer properties ranging between polyester film and polyimide film. It has good temperature resistance and can be used continuous at 160°C (320°F). It has good mechanical strength and high dielectric strength. PEN also has excellent resistance to solvents and chemicals.

Teonex® meets many of the requirements in the field of insulation with much better cost-effectiveness. The PEN film can be used mechanically up to 160 °C (electrically up to 180 °C) and has greater mechanical stability than “normal” PET film. Deanfeit supplies film adhesive tapes, laminates, punched-shaped parts, and rolls made of PEN film.

With PEN film as the basic insulation, it is easily possible to construct insulation systems of UL class F (155 °C continuous operating temperature). Adhesive tapes make it possible to meet higher requirements without having to use Kapton® film, which has significantly more properties than required and is therefore more expensive.
